The atmosphere of Goa is perfect for a hard-core party lover like me. Accompanied by my two like-minded friends, Joseph and Nichol, I left for Goa from Delhi. We reached the “Land of beaches” in late evening by air. Though it was dark, yet the atmosphere was very lively and the places were crowded. It seemed to be a perfect destination for discerning tourists.
We made ourselves cosy in a good Goa beach resort, which was located amidst of South Goa. As we wanted to make the most of our time, we ordered the traditional Goa cuisine and seafood. After pacifying our appetite with the scrumptious food, we indulged ourselves in planning out our next day visit to some of the popular Goa beaches.
The excitement to explore the beauty of beaches and the attractions of adventure did not allow me to have a sound sleep. I left my bed at 6 o'clock, eagerly waiting my friends-Joseph and Nichol to wake up. Finally, they woke up and we left to start our Goa beaches tour at 9 o'clock.
We reached Candolim beach that lies about 14 kms from the capital city Panaji. Well, starting with a beach, called as the traveller's paradise was a great experience as it enabled us to relax amidst cool winds on the beach. It was not too crowded and a good place for people who want peace.
Our next visit was dedicated to Anjuna Beach in Goa. Reason being, to be a part of the beach party and yes... there we were! A great place to enjoy late night parties, Anjuna was crowded with romantic couples. We all three lost ourselves in the sheer fun and enjoyment of the beach party. The provoking music made us to dance till wee hours and we left back to the resort.
We welcomed second day a bit late. How could we miss the Dona Paula beach on our Goa beaches tour! We visited Dona Paula fishing village as well, which lies at the tip of Panaji. The site offers a very good view of the monument at the same place. Miramar beach added another great experience to our Goa beach travel. While on this beach, we could also treat our eyes with the spectacular views of the river Mandovi.
After spending another night in the Goa beach resort, we made a move to the sightseeing of Goa. We came across many Cathedrals and Churches including the popular ones, Se Cathedral and Church of St. Francis Xavier.
While we were leaving Goa, it was hard to believe that we had a great time on the beaches of Goa as everything seemed like a dream. Truly, it was a gratifying experience for us!
